JAUNE+ROUGE
2006 Tour de France Photo Exhibit
In the Tour de France, the race leader is awarded the Yellow Jersey. The final rider is called the Red
Lantern. During the 2006 Tour, massive doping scandals turned professional cycling upside down.
This July saw cycling's top heros evicted from the race and its new champion stricken by the scarlet stain.
It was a Tour of Jaune et Rouge.
Please come and share in Caroline Yang's visual documentation of this extraordinary Tour de France.

Sous le Soleil
2005 Tour de France Photo Show by Caroline Yang Photography
The Tour de France is a grueling three-week cycling race which extracts and reveals all from its embattled athletes. No rider is exempt from the unrelenting exposure. Each success and failure, regardless of the magnitude, is critically broadcast to the world. It is high drama acted out in a two thousand-mile long, open air theater.
Photographer Caroline Yang returned to the Tour in 2005 to capture the latest chapter of the hundred-year old spectacle. Her story involves the riders, the spectators, and also herself as a member of the Tour entourage. Her photographs provide an intimate portrait of the Tour which not only saw the historic finale of the Armstrong reign, but also many moments of pure emotion and beauty played out sous le soleil.
